  • 1946

    Establishes Marudai Industries Ltd. as a company selling paint.

  • 1947

    Changes its name to Turner Colour Chemical Ltd. and begins manufacturing paint. Launches Watercolor Paint and Pentex, a paint for use in handicrafts.

  • 1948

    Launches Poster Color, which has a diverse range of uses and provides excellent coloration.

  • 1950

    Launches Tahne Paint, available in a wide range of shades that allow the user to enjoy delicate nuances, and Junior Oil Paint.

  • 1952

    Launches Poster Color for professionals.

  • 1953

    Launches Origins Color, a powder poster color.

  • 1956

    Launches Neo Color, a paint for short-term outdoor use.

  • 1958

    Changes its name to Turner Colour Works Ltd.

  • 1960

    Institutes the "eye" symbol as the company logo.

    Launches Neo Color Bright, a paint with a high degree of luminosity.

    Launches Polycolor, a toning agent for emulsion paint.

  • 1968

    Launches Ace Color, a waterborne paint with superb weatherability.

  • 1970

    Establishes Tokyo branch office.

  • 1971

    Launches Design Gouache, a top-grade poster color.

  • 1973

    Launches Neo Spray, which can also be used for coloring handicraft items.

  • 1976

    Launches Fancy Color, a poster color for infants.

  • 1982

    Launches Acryl Gouache, an opaque acrylic paint. Installs Japan’s first Cobal Mill.

  • 1985

    Becomes the first in the industry to start working on switching to laminated tubes.

    Installs a production line for filling tubes with paint.

  • 1987

    Launches Neo Color Pearl, a pearlescent paint.

  • 1988

    Launches Pharaon Sheet, a sheet paint.

  • 1990

    Holds the Big Art System presentation - aimed at designing urban landscapes - which becomes a talking point. Launches Big Art Color, a paint for murals, and Neo Cloth,a hanging cloth for outdoor use.

    Presents the Temple and Shrine Coloration System.

  • 1994

    Launches Tent Art, a waterborne paint for tents, and Kosaku-kun, a paint for use on handicrafts.

  • 1995

    Launches Paint Color, a paint for tole and decorative painting, Papier Paint,a paper paint, and Tranvert, a translucent watercolor paint.

  • 1996

    Launches Event Color, a paint with a short life-span for use at events, Kanban Art, a paint for use on signboards, and Printing Color, a sheet paint.

  • 1997

    Collaborates with Golden Artist Colors, Inc. of the USA and launches Golden Acrylics, a new acrylic paint.

  • 1998

    Re-launches its Tranvert translucent watercolor paint, having increased the range of colors available. Launches Aromatique Color, a fragrant solid watercolor paint.

    Launches ESHA, a natural paint for interior use.

  • 1999

    Acquires ISO 9001 certification. Launches Matison Oil Paint and Nail Art Color, a paint for use in nail art.

  • 2000

    Launches Acryl Gouache Lamé Color Series, Three Primary Colors, J Colour, a low-VOC paint for interior use, and ESHA Exterior, a natural paint for exterior use.

  • 2001

    Following a change in the container, re-launches Acryl Gouache Lamé Color as Petit Lamé, for use in hobbies. Launches Opaque Watercolor Paint and Handicraft Nis, for use as teaching materials in primary and middle schools.

    Launches Acryl Gouache Japanesque Series, Acryl Gouache Color Pearl Series and Water-Based Woodstain, a coloring agent for use in woodwork.

    Launches Chameleon, a paint whose color changes in sunlight, and Petit Pearl.

    Launches 3-C : a paint whose color changes in temperature, Air Nail : a paint for nail art.

    Launches Acryl Gouache : Artist Color : acrylic gouache for professional artists, Acryl Color Foundation, a paint for use under oil and acrylic paints, Mushu Kakishibu : odorless persimmon juice, Aging Art Color : a paint for inner or outer decoration. Iro Asobi : safety paint for children, Black Pring Ink : a paint for black print.

    Celebrates the 60th anniversary of its establishment. Launches Golden Fluid Acrylics : a new acrylic paint.

    Launches Grain Paint, a paint for Diorama scenery. Launches Flag Colour, a paint for cloth or fabric etc. Launches Tegata Kun, a colored soap for painting.

  • 2008

    Launches Wasabi, a outdoor paint for rebuilding Machiya.

  • 2009

    Company president Mr.Jihira appointed chairman of the All Japan Art Materials Association.

    Launches Golden Open Acrylics, a slow drying acrylics. Relaunches Turner Artists Watercolor paint. Launches Chigirie, a free cutting sheet.

    Launches Lukas Watercolour paint.

    65th anniversary party at The Ritz Carlton.

    Launches , a pen type paint. Launches the next generation's paint a paint as it is. Launches a new paint for vinyl plastic surfaces.

    Osaka monodzukuri price. Turner Colour Works LTD enterprise was choosen for its new point of view for the research and development, with a challenging spirit, YUME(dream), and the great hope it represent for the next generation, MIRAI(future).

    Launches a new fabric paint and , a paint allowing a real metal render.

  • 2014

    Launches DIY products like Milk Paint and Magnet Paint.

    Creation of “Colours of Life”, advertisement video for Acryl Gouache.

  • 2016

    70th year of establishment.

    Won the gold prize at the One Show in the USA with a commercial based on “Colours of Life”.

  • 2018

    Hiroshi Jihira assumed office as chairman and the new president is Takashi Matsumura.
